The Singapore International Water Week
Water is an important part of our life. Without it, we cannot nourish our bodies, eat or even take a bath. Access to sufficient and safe water is one of the most pressing concerns not only here in Singapore but around the world. Bearing this in mind, stakeholders will gather for the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).
Here are some things about the upcoming SIWW:
- Goal: The goal of the SIWW is to bring together different stakeholders to discuss and share water solutions. Apart from discussing and sharing water solutions, SIWW is a business opportunity to showcase the latest water technologies.
- When: The SIWW will be on June 1 to 5, 2014. The venue will be at the Marina Bay Sands. It can be reached easily via taxi, bus or MRT.
- Programmes: There will be 17 teams (comprising of Singaporeans and foreigners) that have joined the 9 week programme. Some of the programmes include Water Expo, Water Convention, Water Leaders’ Summit and many more. Apart from that 9 week programme, the teams are expected to participate in Water Week’s Hydro Pitch Day.
- Themes: You should know that there will be four themes to be presented in the upcoming SIWW. The themes include Municipal Water, Future of Water, Industrial Water and Integrated City-Environment- Water.
If you want to join, you can register now. For more information, you can refer to SIWW’s webpage. If you want to join other events, you can consider the CleanEnviro Summit and the World Cities Summit. These summits are held in conjunction with the SIWW.
